Also the zune looks cool though I decision it was out contained by Canada. VLC media player, can play almost anything you throw at it.
With out a shadow of a doubt iRiver purely base on appearence (& function) they've won many design awards for their players and Apple's iPhones & iPod Touches near the touch screens (that haven't be around all that long) are base on the iRiver Clix D-Click system
I really like the Sony Walkman NWZ-A800 series myself.
The Ipod nanos look nice (not the portly 3rd gen, though)
Also, the new flash zunes look amazing, but not too bare like the Ipods that you will hold a hard time holding onto them.
