Can't reboot my computer after installing iPod Software?? I received a 16GB Ipod mini for X-mas. Because
I received a 16GB Ipod mini for X-mas. Because I am afraid of all article electronic, I haven't tried to use it until tonight. I put the CD contained by the drive and downloaded all the software and formated the iPod itself (yeah me!). Got adjectives the way through the installation process and be prompted to reboot. I did...
Now I get this blue blind (not the blue screen of annihilation; I'm painfully up to date with that one!) that tell me all sorts of error codes. I try to reboot within safemode and even that takes me backbone to this blue screen.
I can't even reduce to nothing the hard drive and start over as Dell didn't see fit to distribute me a copy of the OS disc!
My question is, can anyone facilitate me fix this problem? I practically live on my computer (using my fiance's BTW) and I'm going crazy quickly.
Any aid is appreciated. TY ahead of time!!
Answers: I hate to read out it, but if you have some adjectives blue screen, next to white text and a bunch of "codes" ... that IS the blue blind of death.
First entity to find out, if this is actually a BSOD, is what is the STOP code at the bottom. If it is a BSOD close to I think it might be, it should stay something resembling...
STOP 0x000000000 and then a bunch more crap after it.
The far-reaching part is that first set of characters beside the STOP message. Also, if you see any file given name mentioned on the screen, that would be considerable as well - usually something .sys.
