that would be physical damage and hence it would not be covered by apples warranty, you can easily shift onto apple and go through the support page and that should give you a detailed layout of the cost. here is the pattern page. The chances are your music would be erased.

you may be better rotten getting a new ipod, i here here expensive to repair. apple can fix the blind for about $100-150 (maybe even 200). They dont necessitate to erase your music, however they do have you sign something that say if your music does get erased, next they are not responsible.
