Ok...I have a 30GB Ipod Video, but respectively time I try to update my Ipod on a friends computer, it erases my library and puts theirs on there. How can I do plug it up to the computer and know how to put both libraries on there? Any abet will be much appreciated!

Only thing you could do is to put your ipod contained by target disk mode, and copy the actual songs from your friend's computer onto your ipod (this is done without itunes), and copy them to your computer and introduction them into your itunes.
You should RTFM on how to put your ipod into disk mode. I can't remember, and I don't have a FM here. You will need to set your ipod tp Sync MANUALLY contained by order to maintain it from being overwritten.
Once connected, you should be capable of drag and drop files from the second pc onto the ipod minus overwriting/deleting libraries.
