Water get into my ipod? How do I dry it out? We'll I put a protective cover on my ipod

We'll I put a protective cover on my ipod touch today. - BestSkinsEver. I over put to much sollution on it I guess =\. I attatched it to the ipod.. and I squeeged all of the access* marine out.. on the sides carefully not getting into the USB cord/ headphone cord/ power button. etc. And it didn't be in motion in. After 3 hours it completely sticked on - not completely dried possibly 85% dried. Still little water bubbles on the surface not the sides of it. And After 1 hour, I turned it on and I found a huge.. marine blob I guess? On the side. I don't know how it got contained by, I guess it could've gotten into the sides where it holds together or something.. But not luckily THAT much could've go in. The river blob looks like a spot in recent times brighter? Also these a tad tad bit on the top which was strange? I didn't get anyo n the top.. I pushed out hose to the sides. So my question is.. if this is hose down how do I get it out? Will it dry out itself? Will it find damaged if it's on? Any experiences next to this anyone?
Answers:

Leave it to dry and don't turn it on because you could short circuit the circuit board. If you're living in a humid place, it may embezzle longer to dry, but inevitably, it will dry out. Just let it dry, don't turn it on... should work. My little cousin wash hers with some laundry, later had another little cousin of ours steal it and depart it outside in the pouring rainfall for 2 days... it still works fine.
