I read some reviews from right after the iPod touch was released, that utter that it emits a hissing clap through the headphones that's much louder than any other mp3 player...apparently it's really definite and really bad? But none of my friends own them so I can't really evaluate it, and the Apple Store in the shopping arcade is always really crowded and loud so that's of no give a hand either.

Have the clean models fixed this problem (specifically the ones that come w/the new applications resembling the iPhone's)?

Also, should I get one? I can carry one for $279.99 w/free silicone case and the unknown applications...is it worth it for that price? THANKS!

there is no pandemonium at all that i've hear..
my sound level is great and ive had it for 6 months...

even if here was a hissing echo, try replacing your headphones!
