I suggest looking into the sites listed surrounded by this limewire review
Yep it is 100% past the worst and 100% free. Yea you can get itunes japan but i am not sure if it is surrounded by yen. No, it is impossible to obtain music from Itunes Japan the normal process if you do not register a Japanese credit card. You will be redirected rear legs to Itunes America in your satchel. This is due to the "Japan Only" protection for purchasing the songs

But there is a style around this by buying a Japan Itune Redemption card from JBOX at http://www.jbox.com/SEARCH/itunes_card

You can chose to have the card deliver to you or just the redemption code to avoid shipping fees

Then signup for a Japan Itune article ONLY via the redeem card link to bypass the JAPAN ONLY protection.

The card card can also be bought though Amazon Japan but JBOX will be a better choice if you want the code ASAP or avoid the shipping charges.
iTunes is completely secure and risk-free.
It was created by Apple, the computer (and iPod) businesswoman, so you won't get any virus or anything like that.
Plus it's court since it's not file-sharing.

As for your second question, you should know how to do it as long as you're not using a gift card. Just the approach it is.
Yes the program is safe IF you download it from the Itunes website (itunes.com) and Yes you can reimburse for them in US dollars and next your bank change that into yen. It should tell you somewhere on itunes how much it costs contained by dollars.
