I'm going to IPOD soon. My Creative muvo has a awfully cool playback feature that save me alot of batteries. It's call "Track x1" - it will play the current track once and then stop. That allows me to start a song contained by the middle of the night and run back to sleep and the song will stop at the fall and my Creative player will shut down after 5 mins of inactivity.
Does IPOD hold a play mode like this? Does IPOD hold auto-shut off?

Well here are adjectives the song settings.. you can:
-Shuffle songs
-Repeat: current playlist,play current playlist once, and repeat current song.
-Change how long the blacklight is on for
Thats... all you can do.. so I guess the answer is no it doesn't do that cool battery-saving article that your old mp3 does.. yes it have a sleep timer.
you can add the Clock button to the leading menu screen, afterwards choose your local clock.
so now that i do is, from the biggest menu, i click Clock-->Boston-->Sleep Timer...and it has the following times:
15 mins
30 mins
60 mins
90 mins
120 mins
and it also have Shuffle mode and Repeat One/Repeat All/Repeat Off modes that can be used together or separately.
