About vinyl accounts...? A looong time ago, soldiers could record a voice

A looong time ago, soldiers could record a voice message on vinyl paperwork to send to their family. My grandmother received one from her (now) deceased husband, but when we try to play it, nil happens. You can see small grooves, so the vinyl have been cut, but within is no sound at adjectives. Does anyone know of a way that my grandmother could hear what is on the story?
Answers:  Well, the records that can register a voice are made of an easily cut textile, This causes them to wearout fairly fast, surrounded by as little as 5 plays.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but i regard as the record have fully been worn out. This menas that the message is long gone.

if you can find a high-end record player, I don`t know you can hear the message.

Untill then, DO NOT play that text, as it will cause further wearing-out of the video recording.

Sorry.
