Creative 4 speakers ?

i bought a creative speakers where the cable is devided to two so i bought a converter, presently i plug it to my ipod and only two speakers work, the 4 speakers in recent times cant work together
why is that
how can i make them workk ?

Answers:    i come up with u bought a creative 4.1..........there is pin socket at the rear the woofer for connecting satalite speakers
