Is here a channel I can put my HUGE cd collection on my iPod short keeping a copy on my computer? I'm new to iPod and I'm not highly bright.
I'm new to iPod and I'm not highly bright. I bought an iPod because I thought it'd be easier to carry one of those around than my ridiculously calorific folders of cds. But I'm learning that I as I introduction my cds, I have to save a copy on my computer or the music will be deleted from my iPod when i Sync again. Is in that any way to nouns up my music without taking up so much room on my computer's thorny drive?!

Depending on how big your collection is, your other substitute is to buy a flash drive. Ususally they range from $30-$50 depending on size. A 1GB flash drive can hold roughly speaking 400 songs, a 2GB can hold about 800, and so on. Hope this help! Don't say you are weak since you are RIGHT ON about iPod syncing. If you don't keep hold of a copy, it will delete when re-syncing.
If you're worried about computer space, enjoy you considered buying an external hard drive?
I've never hear of such thing as "online music storage."
I also don't regard as you will notice a dramatic slow down because of your of music files...
if you're thinking of buying an ipod you should out this site first. they give you an ipod nano for FREE! adjectives you need to do is complete a few expeditious tasks for them.
I'm not sure, but won't disabling the autoload feature within iTunes do what you are looking for? If not, you could transfer your collection to the iPod and after either charge the iPod through an external charger or through a computer that doesn't hold iTunes installed.
