I have a blackberry 8100 that I newly purchased today. Knowing absolutely NOTHING give or take a few phones, I'm wondering if I'll be charged for setting up an email account/accessing the internet? A friend told me that I wouldn't be charged, but I'm not entirely sure anymore.

And are there any free programs for the phone that I should steal note of? Thanks profoundly :)

read the ******* manual you will get charged for the background being used by the phone. If you want to receive ur email check into a data plan next to ur carrier. except u can get a really high-ranking bilL!
