Is within a phase on the Blackberry Pearl that allows outgoing messages to be delete once received?

Blackberry cant delete them automatically once they are sent but it sure can screen them away! Follow these steps:
Messages > Menu key (one near 7 little dots) > options > General option > Hide sent messages.
