Blackberry World Edition - Ring Louder? Does anyone have a Blackberry World Edition and know
Does anyone have a Blackberry World Edition and know how to generate it ring louder? I have it set on the "Loud" profile setting and it's still incredibly soft. My old phone (the Verizon EnVy) I could hear it ring from the other room, this one most of the time I can't hear it ring when it's on my hip! Does anyone know a approach to make it ring louder? Can I download my ringtones/songs (mp3's) louder and if so would that aid?

Yes you can formulate the ring louder and even change your ring to a louder one.
1. From your basic screen on the blackberry be in motion to Profiles (looks like a speaker)
2. Scroll down and click on advanced
3. Click on Loud (Active)
4. Click on Phone
This is where on earth you can choose ringtone volume and the ringtone you want to play. Reduce the number of viberations to 1 so that the device starts ringing just after 1 viberation and you carry one or two extra rings out of it.
On a second note you can download mp3 music/ringtone from your workstation onto your phone's built in memory but the wallet has to be smaller than 2.8MB. If you use desktop superintendent software on your pc to move the folder to the ringtones folder it can be set as a ringtune. Blackberry will play the mp3 file as a ringtune for roughly give or take a few 12 seconds. To verbs larger mp3 files you will need a medium card (micro sd) which is sold seperately.
