I have hear of all the dominating features of running custom firmware and I own to say I'm totally impressed. I hear of all the great things homebrew have to offer, and I'm stuck next to Sony's lame updates. Is there anyway for me to carry rid of 3.9 and get some homebrew? And can I use pandora's battery-operated for update 3.9? I'd rather not use pandora's battery-operated, but if it's my only bearing I would use it.

it is NOT the just way. but it is the best and safest path. you could install a mod chip, or take your motherboard out and put another one surrounded by that has custom firmware. if you hold a psp slim, you cannot run 1.50 firmware because sony made it like that. but dismal alex is making something called the time electrical device that will allow the slim to run 1.50. you have to buy a pandora freestyle and magic memory stick because you enjoy to have custom firmware already installed within order to take home one.
yes, you can use your cousins pandora battery to report u the truth...pandora battery IS the just way. presently u can do this 2 ways. have another psp next to custom firmware or u can hardmod your battery by adjectives the little pin(dont recommend since i blew mine). ive been tryin to attain cfw for a while to but i cant get any psp beside cfw. hardmodding the battery works for both slim and phat but u will involve a phat battery as the slim im not sure of. here is a cuple links to facilitate u out.
