Does anyone know what kind of salution that you append to your 8 track cleaning tape? I hold the tape but no cleaning salution to tag on the drops recommended. Do they still sell it locally?

Answers:  Isopropyl alcohol is what you want. From a chemist or from a component supplier such as RS components. This is by far the best stuff to use as it leaves no sediments but it ain't cheap. A cheap alternative is dutiful old methylated spirits, however this contains additives (to stop the tramps drinking it) which will involve cleaning off afterwards.
