Anybody know of a box that will do impossible to tell apart livelihood of Sky Plus box??
Have looked into getting a Sky+ box but they dont seem to be doing any deal and lb149 + lb60 fitting seems a bit steep to me, have anybody got an alternative??Answers:

no the solitary other answer is cable What you want is call a PVR, a personal video recorder. www.pvruk.co.uk has reviews of copious current models.
If you already have Sky and want to narrative Skys pay-tv programmes, your only genuine option is a Sky+ box. There are other option such as the V+ box for Virgin cable, there some moral Freeview PVRs and of course DVD recorder.
However if you must have Sky, wage the money for Sky+. It's far and away the better product and the other products are only fractionally cheaper.
