Does Apple TV allow you to use it as a DVR also? Can you watch and register live TV with it? I know you can buy and rent movies via Itunes, but what I want to know is if it can be used for a DVR also. I be not able to find any info on the Apple website. Is at hand someone out there that owns one that can assist? Also what is a good program to convert video to Apple TV format? So if I have ripped DVD's what format do I call for them in and what program can I use, or is within software that comes with Apple TV that does that?

Answers:  You can try cucusoft dvd to apple tv converter suite, it can convert DVDs and video like avi, mpeg, wmv etc t o mp4 or h.264 format, after you can add into itunes library, sync to your apple tv, it works great for me, unforced and fast.
