Moved into a new house next to a sattelite dish installed. I have sky plus and call for a new LMB and an extra cable from the dish. The sky guy quoted 50 quid for the work, how much does it cost third gala?

You can carry an LNB on ebay for as little as lb10 and the cable costs even less. Make sure you use a pious qaulity cable like CT100, thats what sky use. The sense he has qouted lb50 is because he have over heads and most peolpe won't climb a stepladder. You can certainly do it yourself via ebay as the other suggests, but if you salary a satellite/aerial installer to come round and supply and install the cable (it's WF100 now, CT100 isn't benchmarked) you are looking at lb50-00 to lb70-00 to do it properly and hold a guarantee at the end of it.
