Does anyone else enjoy a Scientific Atlantic Explorer 8300 HDC and think it is a piece of rubbish?
I used to have a (non HD) TiVo and it be the most amazing, life-changing device since the safety blade. When I upgraded to HDTV, I didn't want to lay out the cash for a strange, HD TiVo, so I got the SciAtl 8300 HDC from Time Warner. I am on my third element. I have to reboot the piece AT LEAST once a day, or it starts to stroke buggy. It refuses to quickly forward about 10% of the time, it take forever to respond to remote commands, and the remote looks close to it was designed by a blind, sadistic midget near mini-fingers. Of course, Time Warner doesn't offer any other component. Your thoughts?
