i just bought my tv yesterday sharp lc-46d64u. when we put the hdmi it say 1080p but when i started to play the game it switched to 720p. btw, i hold hdmi 1080p and tv. this is my first hdtv lcd, thats why i need some relief.. T_T

NBA 2K8 does not support 1080p, most games don't, the uppermost resolution that it supports is 720p.
The Xbox downscales the resolution to support the game, completely middle-of-the-road. If you play a game that does support 1080p it will be played at 1080p.
