I've been looking online for TV's and can just find '1080p', 720p', but no 1080i.
Answers:
All modern HDTVs can display 1080i just fine, it's purely that most LCDs are either going to be ~720p original or 1080p native. 1080p local TVs will display the full 1080 lines of resolution of 1080i, but they cost a lot more than 720p local TVs, and in adjectives reality, you probably won't thought much of a difference between a 720p and 1080p TV unless you're buying a very huge one.
Now, at hand are 1080i native TVs, these are usually elder projection or CRT models (meaning that they're very thick), and can display a 1080i signal natively, but they may enjoy trouble displaying 720p (which looks better for gaming), and trust me - I've used 720p LCDs and 1080i RPTVs, and the LCDs are so much better, it's not funny. Don't worry something like buying a 1080i native TV, it doesn't situation, any HDTV you buy now will support it.
Just about adjectives HD tvs out now support 1080P adjectives 1080p tvs support 1080i as well. They in recent times like to souk it at 1080p because if you have a video source within 1080P it's a better picture.TV and cable transmit 1080i and the new HD dvd players are 1080P. The TVs support 1080P for that sense. 1080p tv's will broadcast in 1080i automatically. They are able of the better 1080p.

Best Buy have one for a while but the difference in price isnt worth the difference within quality, I get the same size tv within 1080p for like $200 more next the 1080i.
prolly at best buy, but 1080p have a better picture.:)
