Hi my HDTV it doesn't hold Optical In & Optical Out? Hi I am kind of modern all this HDTV
Hi I am kind of modern all this HDTV stuff. Of what I am trying to do is I am using a TOSLINK cable to connect my Xbox 360 & HDTV & surrounded by able to own 5.1 sound. Can I stop at Wal-Mart & buy close to a adapter or something? It will be helpful if you enjoy a picture of what item that I need & thank you for your sustain.

Yeah, the setup would be:
Source > Surround Sound OR
Source > TV > Surround sound.
If you can directly hook it up to a heir that's tons easier. And like the other guy said, Denon and Yamaha are great brands. Onkyo also.
For truely superb nouns it'd cost you an arm and a leg (basically you buy the receiver and speakers separately), but home theaters surrounded by a box aren't too bad. Just brand sure the receiver component from the HTIB or normal heir has the inputs you desire. If you buy a addressee separate from speakers, it's going to have a undamaged lot more inputs than a HTIB.
Another option for surround nouns is HDMI. You can buy a receiver that supports up to 7.1 via HDMI, buy 5 speakers very soon, and then put in another 2 later if you ever want to. In that bag, the receiver will hold an HDMI pass through. You plug surrounded by your 360 to it, and that carries both nouns and video, then you own another HDMI cable to your TV, to transmit the video. There is NO ADAPTOR for the Toslink cable....
And the Optical connector on TV sets are NOT INPUTS....
They are OUTPUTS only.
So no thing what, you need a Dolby 5.1 (or 6.1 or 7.1) Amplifier to PROCESS a Dolby Optical signal anyways.
I close to the Denons and Yamahas..
