i have a pretty elderly slyvania tv and was wondering if i could use the nintendo wii component cable to make games look better but it with the sole purpose has the red, pallid, and white slots
Answers:
You do need a TV near the COMPONENT slots....

You see, the signal is DIFFERENT and incompatible....you can't use the Component signal in anything save for a Component input connector....

I hope your Wii has the antediluvian RCA COMPOSITE type of cables available for your TV set....

Don't grasp the two names mixed up, COMPOSITE is the Yellow Red White electrical system.
Your tv won't support component cable because they have three video cable and two audio cables. Your tv will merely support composite cables. A tv that supports component cable will have a red, blue, and green video inputs near your standard red and white audio inputs. component are red, green, and blue (all video)
and then another white and red (audio)

the difference between the rca (red, white, yellow) and component (red, green, blue, white, red) should be marginal
