It seems the tube have burst, and I'm just wondering how much it will pinch to cost? Am I better to just bring a new Tv or go and get it repaired?

Get a modern one... Sorry, no point in getting it repaired. You could pick a dutiful second-hand one up at your local souk for lb20-30. People are chucking them out at a furious rate as they buy their plasmas to keep up withe Jones's.
