Answers:  It depends on what connections your TV offers.
Basically you won't see any difference between the typical component connection (the red, green and blue cables) to a HDMI nouns. Just read the link below why HDMI is unsophisticatedly a poor choice.

If your TV also has a VGA input, you can connect the Xbox next to a VGA accessory cable, and the Xbox will upscale DVD movies to a much sharper and better picture.

But beside any other connection you won't spy any differences between VGA, component or HDMI.
