im in australia and i go to ebgames looking for the official sony component av cable but they only have 3rd party cable.

the guy said he hadnt seen any sony brand ones around be he lieing?

it specifys that these are the hd imputs:

HD Ready Input:(1080i/720p/576p/525p/480p/480i)

as you would expect ididnt expect 1080 p/i for our tv cuz its a fat tv..

my put somebody through the mill is:

whats the difference between 1080 i and 1080p (i only hold 1080i

Save yourself some money. There's no entail to get the Sony branded cable (or any pet name brand, like Monster). Just buy a well-mannered quality cable. HDMI would be best if your tv have an hdmi input.
Go to URL www.dtvforums.com.au DTV Forum Australia > Digital TV Receivers & Related Products > Game Consoles
regards PS3 component cable.

Now for resolution, 1080i is interlaced scan and 1080p is progressive scanning, surrounded by my opinion the in your birthday suit eye would not notice the difference. However as the manufacture state differently, this is my understanding, near interlaced scanning individual every second line is displayed, progressive scan all lines are displayed & is claimed to display a superior picture. i know they own the sony cables contained by america, but im not sure on aus. Secondly, I would hook it up with an hdmi cable if your tv have an hdmi port. The speed of the transfer is faster and allows for a better picture part.
