Ok so I'm trying to hook it up to cable. right now adjectives i have is essential and i know how to hook everything up but its not working. in that are 2 ports. one says hdtv and the other say tv. when i hook it up to hd i get some channel but when i hook it up to tv it says no signal. what can i do? do i call for a box for it to work?

you need antennas or comcast You most likely requirement a digital converter box, I could be wrong but it sounds like your cable is still Analog and not digital. I would telephone the cable company and ask them if their signal is analog or digital. If it is analog then you call for a converter box to convert the signal from analog to a digital signal.
