Question About HDTV? I have a 1997 reverse projection Magnavox 55" and
I have a 1997 reverse projection Magnavox 55" and the picture is great. I also use Directv, and it's a digital box and signal. So I know I won't have to verbs when the big change comes.
But my give somebody the third degree is this, can I add a HD digital decoder to my set up.
And if I can, how will the picture trait be ? Even better or no good at adjectives. Or just no swing whatsoever. I have ordered the 2 $40.00 Government chits toward the unusual boxes, when they come in. So should I dance HD or not ?
Thanking you in credit.

The affairs of state subsidy applies only to boxes that can receive HD but they can just output composite or s-video!!
They are meant lone for people who rely on off-the-air TV.
Since you already hold Direct TV, those boxes will not offer anything more than what you hold. Save your money. honestly? There's no point of paying for HD if your tv doesnt broadcast HD...1997 is not OLD..but old ample that it doesnt have an HDMI input or outpout, which hand over syou the highest point. It also doesnt broadcast in 1080p...so its not really worth the extra money, but its up to you.
