we're looking for a 32" HDTV...Insignia aren't the best, I know. But they are $550. Which is good :)

We would a bit a sharp HDTV...they have a great picture...but somewhat out of our price range.

What are the opinion on the Insignia?

Please honest opinions, but no have need of to be rude. Thanks

As you say, they aren't the best.
HD performanc will be the lowest of your problems.
MuchTV you'll be watching will be SD. HDTV's in broad do not display SD well. The lower cost sets are awful.
The biggest problem beside setys like Insignia is that the warranty is poor and there's no support for service after the warranty is over. The low priced sets own poor quality and so you can't expect it to later very long.

See interconnect.

http://hdguru.com/your-new-disposable-fl... Nah don't go near Insignia. My opinion contained by general is to spend a short time more and get a better TV. You don't own to spend millions but remember that you cant upgrade your TV if you're not happy next to it--you'll have to buy a hot one. You're going to have your TV for at lowest possible 5 years--try getting one you like. Hope I help!
