OK, unless you were paying for some scrambled premium canal like HBO or Showtime, what be the purpose of cable boxes, outside of making the cable companies loot even more money from every customer? Even the older crappier TV's be capable of getting adjectives the channels, so why deny your own TV's experience? Another lame deal be anyone that I saw who had a cable box have nothing but a cloak of rolling wavy gray fuzz overlaid on their otherwise crisp signal which I proved to a buddy be the interference of his cable box, since it has to be plugged contained by and from my experience the more devices between any signal source and display the crappier the results. Yet people loved their cable boxes up and down. Why? Unless you have some ancient UHF/VHF TV that only go up to channel 13, or get HBO or the primo channels, you didn't inevitability it and it made your picture crappier. When I plug it into a tv that is a bit elder it shows up in black and white. So I have to plug it into a digital cable box for it to show up in color. Does it hold to do with a digital conversion point?

"Cracked" LCD HDTV?
I turned on my TV and it appears that there is a crack on the blind only the actual eyeshade isn't cracked... Is there any style it can be fixed or is it true I will need to buy a in one piece new TV? The picture is scrambled and within a white spot but no actual crack, what happened? Can it be fixed? Who would I contact to fix it?
