I'm stuck between buying two HDTV's. One TV has 3x HDMI 720P vs. one that have 42" 2x HDMI 1080P. Both are about equal price. What do you guys think is the better operation?

I just bought the samsung 5271. I really entail help i close to to know if i need hdmi and which ones to hook up to a blueray player and to my cable hd box.I know nought about this stuff cc is deliver it the 18th im so excited loved the picture in 120hz on blueray thats what caught my eye it be amazing.Also should i leave the 120hz on while watching digital tv or reg tv Can you please let somebody know me also the best blueray player with this tv TY so much.Sorry in the order of so many interrogate i spent alot of money and more to come i want this to be perfect TY

After digital tv cutover will I be capable of receive cable programming using a generic digital converter?
Currently I am receiving adjectives my programming through cable. Some of my TVs are analog cable ready which are directly corrected to the cable system in need a cable box. After the 2009 cut over to digital, will I be able to verbs to receive programming on these TVs without a digital box, using any a generic digital converter or without a converter at adjectives as I am currently using. Will the cable companies continue to proposal analog programming over the wire or will they force their customers to return with a set top boxes. In other words, are they still obligated to continue to provide analog programming after this point?
AHH...TV Freakout?!...?
I have a RCA Stereo Floor Console model tv set. I love this tv and don't want to buy another...so don't communicate me that!! My problem is this...I was watching it and here were a few grey lines that started across the peak, then it go black and there is one silver chain across the middle of the tv....from left to right. I call a service repair guy and he said that it was the "Vertical Spec Chip" or something close to that had burned out. Can anyone explain to me what to be precise...and about how much would it cost to fix it? Just an estimate will be fine...I only just want to know about how much I may hold to spend!! TY!!
