My TV set was bought contained by 2001. It is Panasonic. I use a remote control to get my cable stations that I buy from Comcast. I own basic extended cable (stations 2 to 78 basically). I do not use rabbit ears or detectable atennas of any kind. The cable itself is connected from the wall into the stern of the VCR. I have a DVD player that plays DVD's on my TV. Do I own a digital TV or not? I won't ask any more questions in connection with the digital transition in 2009 until I return with this answer. The people at Comcast are clueless and respectively one has a different story on what is going to begin and what I will need. Thanks

I have 2 TV sets, one weak and one new. the different one is hooked up to directv so i don't really have to verbs about buying a converter box for that. but for the elder one which i have i stipulation to buy one. it has those antennas to receive those tv signals, but once i obtain the converter box does it mean it desires to be hooked up by a cable to some outlet to receive DigitalTV? This older set is newly set up in a small bureau to watch primary stuff like word, so i really don't need to acquire another receiver from directv. don't want extra cable laying around surrounded by that small room. especially since it means drilling some holes to procure that reciever to hook up to the dish.
