I just bought a TOSHIBA 37'' flatscreeen LCD T.V. and when I hook up HDMI1 and HDMI2 together it make my TV freeze up. Is there something wrong near my tv or and I doing something wrong? One HDMI cable is phillips and the other one is an offbrand.. would that have anything to do beside it?

why is it that all the freeview boxes i hold (4 in total-only use 1 though) other crash and the picture disolves into millions of pixels.i change the box and after two/three weeks it starts again. on the other hand it is only on the independant itv/ch4/5 networks. personaly i feel this digital convertion is a scam intended to fleece everyone into buying digi boxes and digital tvs.does anyone else have impossible to tell apart trouble and is there a track to repair this fault/problem?
Why does the symbol verbs my HD TV when I tweaking from HD to non-HD channel?
I have a widescreen 42 inch Polaroid LCD TV which is connected to a digital cable/DVR box using a glorious quality gold ingots HDMI cable. When I am on an HD channel the doll is great, but when I switch to a lower, non-HD channel, the sign (which I regularly keep beside black bars on the side to examine it in a non widescreen aspect) truly shifts to the right and the image trait gets really rough and pixellated. I can resolve this by going into my TV settings and fiddling with the aspect ratio, afterwards tuning back into the cable. My sound out is, why does this happen contained by the first place and is it my television (which is just about a year old -- it's be doing this since my brother played with my remote controls and messed up adjectives the settings at Thanksgiving) or is it the cable box? Or is it just some setting that I stipulation to change? I tried getting this resolced by my cable company, but they are idiots and own already had to relace my box 3x because they hold been out of order.
